FAQ for the "Epic Ball Game: Space Soccer"

  • What devices and platforms are supported by the Epic Ball Game: Space Soccer?

    Currently we officially support only Android devices (both phones and tablets) powered by ARMv7 processor and Android 2.3.3 and up. However, this game runs well on the Apple's iPhone 3GS and iPad 1 generation. We plan to release on Apple AppStore soon.

  • The game runs slowly on my mobile phone/tablet. How can I increase the performance?

    Please close all background applications and try to run the game. If the performance still remains poor you may contact us via the in-game feedback form accessible from the game's About screen (?i@). The feedback form is gathering your hardware stats allowing us to make some analysis on this problem.

  • I hate ads. Can I remove them?

    Yes you can! You can buy ads removal inside the game.

  • How can I earn the star coins?

    The common rule is that you earn the star coins when you achieve more stars upon level completion than you've got before. You may indicate profitable levels by a white color in the level selection menu. Closer to the last level you may notice that levels remain white even if you got 3 stars there. Yes, this means that you still can earn star coins on these levels just by passing them. Below you may find detailed info about level "costs":

  • What is the recommended network speed for the online mode?

    You should have at most 120ms ping time to the server in order to play the Space Soccer. There should be at least 4-5 points out of 5 at the bottom of the menu screen in order to play smooth. We recommend to have the average ping of about 40-60ms to the game server with rare spikes up to 120-150ms.

  • The game runs jittery in the online mode.

    Make sure that you have a reliable and fast internet connection. This is a fast paced game and thus technically requires a low latency internet connection. At the bottom of the online mode menu you can notice a speed indicator. All bars blue means that you will most likely not experience any problems playing online, but if your internet connection has unstable latency you may still encounter jitters during the game.

    The other situation in which you also can experience poor online performance is your opponent's internet connection. The game is designed in such a way that both players are under symmetrical conditions.

  • I try to play with my friend online but we can not find each other.

    Make sure you are using the same network region in the online mode. You can see the active region name and its speed at the bottom of the screen while the online mode is started. You may press on it to change while the main online menu is opened. Note that you have to use a region with less latency in order to achieve the best online gameplay experience with your network carrier.

  • I do not receive invitations from other players via push messages.

    There could be several reasons involved in this bad-things-happened scenario:

    • Game activity was forced to stop: either do not kill game's activity or use the in-game quit button;
    • Wi-Fi router settings do not allow this. Here is a quote from Google Cloud Messaging setup: "If your organization has a firewall that restricts the traffic to or from the Internet, you need to configure it to allow connectivity with GCM in order for your Android devices to receive messages. The ports to open are: 5228, 5229, and 5230. GCM typically only uses 5228, but it sometimes uses 5229 and 5230. GCM doesn't provide specific IPs, so you should allow your firewall to accept outgoing connections to all IP addresses contained in the IP blocks listed in Google's ASN of 15169.";
    • Google Play Services internal/connectivity error happened. Just try to run Google Play and ensure that it is working.

  • I want to play online but the message "Sorry, you ran out of online games limit." appears. What does it mean?

    Each player has a bundle with 10 online games by default. When you spend these games they will be respawned with time. You may press the games bar in the online mode to see when the next game will be respawned. As soon as the game count reaches 10 games then no more games will be respawned until you decrease this number again. As an alternative to waiting for auto respawn you may prefer converting star coins to online games.
